ELISA: 8-OHdG Antibody [NB600-1508] - Competitive ELISA using the 8-OHG antibody demonstrates a high specificity towards 8-hydroxydeoxyguanosine (8-OHdG) and 8-hydroxyguanosine nucleotides. Partial cross-reactivity is ...read more
For IHC-Paraffin: It is suggested that the tissues are pretreated with 10 ug/mL of proteinase K for 40 minutes at 37 degrees C prior to staining. Dewaxed sections treated with 3%H2O2 in methanol for 30 minutes and blocking was with 10% serum in TBS. Sections were treated with proteinase K 10ug/ml in PBS pH 7.4, 40 minutes 37 degrees C prior to blocking. Detection is via DAB. Since the antibody is staining a nucleic acid it is important to use enough proteinase to penetrate the histone barrier.

FAQs for 8-OHdG Antibody (NB600-1508). (Showing 1 - 1 of 1 FAQs).
NB600-1508 could be applied on mouse tissue?
Since 8-hydroxyguanosine is a modified base which occurs in DNA as a result of oxidative stress, hence considered a sensitive marker of oxidative damage in cellular DNA, its structure is pretty conserved among different species. Therefore, the cross reactivity of this antibody may be expected in wide range of species. It is worth mentioning NB600-1508 does not cross react with other naturally occurring nucleotides.
