AbSelect™ Mouse TCS Antibody Purification Kit Summary

• Description: The AbSelect Mouse TCS Purification System enables the selective purification of mouse IgG from hybridoma supernatants without the co-purification of bovine IgG. This is because AbSelect Mouse resin has a high affinity and specificity for mouse IgG molecules whereas the binding strength of bovine IgG to AbSelect Mouse resin is negligible. In comparison, Protein G does not have the capability to selectively purify mouse IgG from hybridoma supernatants.
  
  The method of AbSelect Mouse TCS Purification System involves capture of the antibody on the AbSelect Mouse resin and the removal of unwanted substances using a simple wash procedure. The purified antibody is then eluted and neutralized. AbSelect Mouse TCS Purification System is not suitable for use with antibodies from other species.
  
  The components of all AbSelect kits are fully compatible with the Lightning-Link and Lightning-Link Rapid antibody labeling systems (available separately), which allow the purified antibody to be rapidly conjugated to a wide variety of labels.

• Application Notes: The mouse antibody to be purified should be in 10 to 25ml of tissue culture supernatant. Up to 1.5mg of antibody can be purified in each run.

1. I'm trying to determine whether the AbSelect Mouse TCS Purification System kit is appropriate for our application. Can you tell me the purification approach of this kit? Is it kappa light chain specific or something else?
   • This kit uses a mouse specific resin. It will bind all parts of the mouse IgG and is not specific to any one region of the antibody.
