Background
Bone marrow stromal cell antigen-1 is a stromal cell line-derived glycosylphosphatidylinositol-anchored molecule that facilitates pre-B-cell growth. The deduced amino acid sequence exhibits 33% similarity with CD38. BST1 expression is enhanced in bone marrow stromal cell lines derived from patients with rheumatoid arthritis. The polyclonal B-cell abnormalities in rheumatoid arthritis may be, at least in part, attributed to BST1 overexpression in the stromal cell population. [provided by RefSeq]

FAQs for Bone marrow stromal cell antigen 1/CD157 Antibody (NBP2-24581). (Showing 1 - 2 of 2 FAQ).
-
I am wondering why bone marrow stromal cell antigen 1(BST1) express in human brain, because, as far as I know, there is no report which shows BST1 express in human (or in mouse) brain.
- The mRNA for CD157 (BST1) is expressed in human cerebral cortex, even though it is low. Similarly, out of 4 brain (tumor/cancer) cell lines examined, two express low mRNA. Finally, glioma tissues express the low levels of the protein.
-
Can NBP2-24581 be used for a frozen (for example O.C.T compound embedded) section?
- Usually if an antibody can work for IHC-P, frequently it can also be used in IHC-Fr (frozen section)
