- Biotinylated Mouse IGF-1 Antibody (40x): A 40-fold concentrated biotinylated polyclonalantibody against mouse IGF-1.
- Chromogen Substrate: A ready-to-use stabilized peroxidase chromogen substratetetramethylbenzidine.
- MIX Diluent Concentrate (10x): A 10-fold concentrated buffered protein base.
- Mouse IGF-1 Microplate: A 96 well polystyrene microplate coated with a polyclonalantibody against mouse IGF-1.
- Mouse IGF-1 Standard: Mouse IGF-1 in a buffered protein base (lyophilized).
- Sealing Tapes: Pressure-sensitive sealing tapes, which can be cut to fit the format of theindividual assay
- Stop Solution: A 0.5 N hydrochloric acid to stop the chromogen substrate reaction.
- Streptavidin-Peroxidase Conjugate (SP Conjugate): A 100-fold concentrate
- Wash Buffer Concentrate (20x): A 20-fold concentrated buffered surfactant.

Background
Insulin is a pancreatic hormone that regulates glucose uptake and the synthesis of protein and fat. The insulin like growth factors, isolated from plasma, are structurally and functionally related to insulin but have a much higher growth promoting activity. IGF1 (Insulin Like Growth Factor I) is a polypeptide growth factor, which stimulates the proliferation of a wide range of cell types including muscle, bone, and cartilage tissue. IGF1 functions as an autocrine regulator of growth.
