Spindle Bipolarism Antibody Pack

Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence: Spindle Bipolarism Antibody Pack [NBP1-78955] - Kif2a antibody was tested in HeLa cells with DyLight 488 (NB500-180, green). Nuclei and alpha-tubulin were counterstained with DAPI (blue) and DyLight 550 (red).

Knockout Validated: Spindle Bipolarism Antibody Pack [NBP1-78955] - Western blot shows lysates of HEK293T human embryonic kidney parental cell line and Kif2a knockout (KO) HEK293T cell line. PVDF membrane was probed with 1:10000 of Rabbit Anti-Human Kif2a Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # NB500-180) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Rabbit IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog #HAF008). Specific band was detected for Kif2a at approximately 100 kDa (as indicated) in the parental HEK293T cell line, but is not detectable in the knockout HEK293T cell line. This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions.

Simple Western: Spindle Bipolarism Antibody Pack [NBP1-78955] - Lane view shows a specific band for Kif2a in 0.5 mg/ml of HeLa lysate using Kifa Antibody [NB500-180]. This experiment was performed under reducing conditions using the 12-230 kDa separation system.

Western Blot: Spindle Bipolarism Antibody Pack [NBP1-78955] - Human Eg5 rescues depletion of the Drosophila kinesin-5 family member Klp61F. Western blot analysis of cell lysates prepared from induced and uninduced; control and Klp61F RNAi-treated cells blotted with anti-Eg5 to monitor induction of Eg5-mCherry, anti-Klp61F to confirm depletion of the motor and anti-alpha-tubulin as a loading control. Cells depleted of Klp61F and with Eg5-mCherry induced are referred to as RepEg5 cells. Background

During mitosis and meiosis, spindle formation and organization is important for proper segregation of chromosomes. It has also been shown that two pathways contribute to the appropriate polarism of the spindle, Kif2a and EG5. Without proper expression and activity of both, the spindle may not function appropriately, and downstream implications will occur.
