Human Growth Hormone Quantikine ELISA Kit Summary

Background
The Quantikine Human Growth Hormone Immunoassay is a 4.5 hour solid-phase ELISA designed to measure human Growth Hormone in cell culture supernates, serum, and plasma. It contains E. coli-expressed recombinant human Growth Hormone and has been shown to accurately quantitate the recombinant factor. Results obtained using natural human Growth Hormone showed linear curves that were par...allel to the standard curves obtained using the Quantikine kit standards. These results indicate that this kit can be used to determine relative mass values for naturally occurring human Growth Hormone.

Background

Growth hormone (GH), also known as somatotropin, is a member of a family of growth factors that includes prolactin, placental lactogens, proliferins, and somatolactin. It is synthesized primarily by somatotropes in the anterior pituitary and is stored in secretory granules.
