Western Blot: TPR Antibody [NB100-2865] - Whole cell lysate (50 ug) from HeLa, Jurkat, K-562, Hep-G2, and RKO cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibody: Affinity purified rabbit anti-TPR antibody used for WB at 0.04 ug/ml. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 3 seconds.

Immunoprecipitation: TPR Antibody [NB100-2865] - Detection of human TPR by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate (1.0 mg per IP reaction; 20% of IP loaded) from HeLa cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-TPR antibody NB100-2865(lot NB100-2865-2) used for IP at 6 ug per reaction. TPR was also immunoprecipitated by a previous lot of this antibody (lot NB100-2865-1) and rabbit anti-TPR antibody NB100-2866. For blotting immunoprecipitated TPR, NB100-2865 was used. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 1 second.

Background

This gene encodes a large coiled-coil protein that forms intranuclear filaments attached to the inner surface of nuclear pore complexes (NPCs). The protein directly interacts with several components of the NPC. It is required for the nuclear export of mRNAs and some proteins. Oncogenic fusions of the 5' end of this gene with several different kinase genes occur in some neoplasias.
